Harvest Water Traffic Alert – July 24, 2025

The following closures are currently in place or planned as part of Harvest Water pipeline construction. Please drive safely through work zones and follow construction signs and posted speed limits.

Thank you for your ongoing patience with Harvest Water construction. 

NEW Road and Lane Closures:

  • Sims Road is closed until fall 2025.
  • Point Pleasant Road between Ed Rau Road and Franklin Boulevard is closed until late September.
  • Twin Cities Road west of Bruceville Road is closed until late August.
  • Unrelated to Harvest Water construction, Twin Cities Road west of highway 99 to Christensen Road will be closed the week of July 28 for repairs to the Union Pacific railroad. For more details, visit www.saccounty.gov.

NEW Road Openings:

  • Twin Cities Road east of Bruceville Road is now open.
  • The intersection of Twin Cities Road and Bruceville Road is open.
  • Eschinger Road between Ed Rau Road and Bruceville Road will be open on July 25, 2025.

Ongoing Road and Lane Closures:

  • Construction of the pipeline on Fogg Road is underway and will continue into mid-August. Local access only. 
  • Point Pleasant Road between Fogg Road and Franklin Boulevard is closed until early September. Follow posted detours. Local access is allowed.
  • Point Pleasant Road between Lambert and Fogg Roads remains closed until early August. The road is open to local traffic.  
  • Carroll Road between Eschinger Road and Lambert Road is closed until late September for pipeline installation. The road is open to local traffic, follow detour signs.
  • Within the City of Elk Grove:
    • Sims Road is closed until fall 2025.
    • All lanes on the east side of Franklin Boulevard between Laguna Boulevard (south of the intersection) and Elk Grove Boulevard will remain closed through fall 2025Traffic is being diverted to the southbound lanes on the west side of Franklin Boulevard, maintaining two-way traffic.
    • Work continues within the greenbelt areas between Ehrhardt Channel and Whitelock Road.

Note: Some roadways are open to local traffic only and are not accessible by through traffic.

Weather impacts and other factors may impact timing of closures. Local residents and emergency vehicles can access properties within work zones at all times throughout construction. Please visit our Harvest Water webpage for the latest construction updates.
