Environmental Stewardship Programs

There are three Environmental Stewardship Sub-Programs:
1. American River Parkway Riparian Habitat and River Cleanup
Contributes funding to projects that support and cleanup the riparian habitat and river. To apply, please complete the Environmental Stewardship Funding Application.
2. Watershed Management
Provides funding for projects that protect or enhance water quality of the regional waterways. To apply, please complete the Environmental Stewardship Funding Application.
3. Septic Tank Conversion
Funding for projects that facilitate the efforts to connect eligible property owners or communities with failing septic systems to the SacSewer collection system. To apply, please complete the General Confluence Funding Application.

Economic Development

Funds programs that support the economic vitality and job growth in the region by reducing sewer impact fees for eligible commercial and industrial customers. View the flyer for more program details.

Public Education and Career Awareness

Funds programs designed to educate students and customers about the Sacramento region’s water and wastewater systems and the Sacramento watershed; enhance understanding of SacSewer’s mission to large audiences; reinforce behavior change through education on environmental stewardship; and increase awareness about career paths available in the wastewater industry.

Sewer Lifeline Rate Assistance Program

SacSewer offers eligible low-income customers annual savings on their sewer bill.
